A member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team of the San Carlos City Police was hurt in an incident of accidental firing.
It was learned that the service firearm of the SWAT member fired accidentally on July 21, 2024.
According to the authorities, the policeman was in his house in Barangay Fatima, San Carlos City, Province of Negros Occidental when the gun dropped allegedly to the floor and fired by accident.
The policeman sustained a gunshot wound on the left side of his face near his jaw.
As of posting time, he is already in stable condition at the hospital.
