Dagupan City remains on high alert as intermittent rain from the southwest monsoon continues to affect the area.

This even as #CarinaPH has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Authorities have warned residents of the possibility of rivers overflowing, which can result to flooding.

Several low-lying areas in Dagupan City have experienced flooding due to continuous rains and high tide.

In Barangay Pogo Chico, residents are monitoring announcements closely so they can evacuate immediately when ordered to do so.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) remains on red alert status.

It is monitoring the situation closely, especially in seven barangays near the Pantaleon-Sinocalan River, which is prone to flooding during heavy rains.

According to latest monitoring by CDRRMO, the water level at the Pantaleon-Sinocalan River is at 4.5 meters above sea level, which is below the critical level of seven meters.

Due to unfavorable weather, classes in both private and public schools in Dagupan City have been canceled on July 25.

Government offices are also closed.

Despite the weather disruptions, major roads in the city remain passable.
