A fire struck a big hardware store located at the corner of M.J. Cuenco Avenue and T. Padilla Street in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City on July 24, 2024.
The Cebu City Fire Station received the alarm at 7:08 p.m.
It took firefighters about 12 hours to put out the fire that hit Federal North Hardware because of its stock of chemicals.
The fire left behind damages worth P19.2 million, according to fire investigators.
However, the cause of the fire, as of this posting, is yet to be determined.
The fire did not spread to other establishments in the area, but two firemen and a civilian were reported hurt in the process of controlling the fire.
They are now in safe condition.
