A multiple vehicle collision in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan left four people injured evening on August 1, 2024. 

A dash cam captured a car veering into the opposite lane and crashing into an oncoming truck. The impact pushed the car to the side of the road and caused the truck driver to lose control of his vehicle, which ended with his truck colliding with another car. 

The first car, whose driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was damaged severely. The truck had plunged into a rice field. 

"Base doon sa imbestigasyon, yung driver ng kotse [ay] nakainom, so ‘yun ang nakita doon sa imbestigasyon," PMAJ Jun Wacnag, Chief of the Sta. Barbara Police Station, said.

The four injured were the driver of the first car, the truck driver and his assistant, and the driver of the second car. 

Wacnag reminded drivers to avoid driving if they are drunk.

"Lahat ng gumagamit ng sasakyan, dapat iwasan nila ang [ang pagmamaneho kapag] nakainom," he said.
