The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Northern Mindanao (PDEA-10) seized suspected shabu, firearm, and money during a raid at a house rented by a policeman in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
PDEA-10 agents served a search warrant against four people, including the policeman, for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
However, the policeman was able to escape, but seven other suspects were arrested.
According to PDEA-10, the suspects have long been monitored for their alleged involvement in the illegal drug activities.
“Ang pangalan niya ay si Police Staff Sergeant Arman Tagolimot o mas kilalang si alyas Artags, at-large siya kasi during the service of the search warrant na kung saan siya mismo ang personality ay wala siya,” PDEA-10 Director, Atty. Benjamin Gaspi, said.
Gaspi said the suspects were allegedly responsible for delivering illegal drugs to Northern Mindanao.
”Lumalabas na itong pulis at other personality ay malaki ang involvement sa illegal na droga. Nag dedeliver ng droga dito sa Northern Mindanao, binabagsak sa Bukidnon at Iligan,” Gaspi added.
Authorities confiscated sachets of suspected shabu worth around P680,000, a gun, ammunition, and undetermined amount of money.
The suspects arrested are now detained at the PDEA-10 detention facility and did not give a statement.
“Ang pangalan niya ay si Police Staff Sergeant Arman Tagolimot o mas kilalang si alyas Artags, at-large siya kasi during the service of the search warrant na kung saan siya mismo ang personality ay wala siya,” Gaspi added.
