A woman was shot dead by a policeman while they were drinking in Davao City past 1 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
According to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the policeman who was assigned at the Mandug Police Station has turned himself in after the incident.
Police said based on the accounts of witnesses, the two figured in an altercation before the suspect shot the victim in the face.
Authorities seized the 9mm pistol used by the suspect.
The suspect is now detained and may face charges.
