Two women were stabbed to death by a fellow tenant who allegedly ran amok at their boarding house in Barangay Magugpo East, Tagum City.

The suspect and another man were killed when police responded.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the suspect, a security guard, was holding two knives when he barged into the separate rooms of the victims, 19 and 28 years old, and stabbed them to death.

Police claimed that when they responded to the area, they were forced to shoot the suspect and another man when the two allegedly tried to fight back.

The other man was not a tenant at the boarding house, and he was seen holding a bolo when police arrived.

Authorities have yet to establish, as of this writing, if the security guard and the other man know each other and why the other man was in the boarding house.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine the motive behind the killing.
