Up to 25 people were injured in an accident involving a jeepney and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on the national road in Barangay Gobgob, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Based on investigation, the jeepney was traveling from Pinukpuk, Kalinga while the SUV was coming from Poblacion, Tabuk.
The accident happened when the jeepney allegedly attempted to overtake a car that had suddenly stopped in front of it.
Unfortunately, the jeepney collided head-on with the oncoming SUV.
The impact of the collision left 22 passengers of the jeepney and three occupants of the SUV injured.
Emergency responders rushed the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine if any charges will be filed related to the accident.
