A 33-year-old woman was killed while four others, including children, were injured after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a concrete fence in Zamboanga City.
Police said the motorcycle reportedly lost its brakes while travelling downhill and crashed into a concrete fence.
The rider and three children aged seven, five, and one sustained severe injuries in different parts of their bodies. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities reminded the public anew that only one is allowed to ride in pillion and must wear a helmet.
