A bomb threat sent through electronic mail (e-mail) alarmed employees of the Bureau of Customs (BoC) in Iloilo.
The e-mail was sent at around 8 a.m. on August 20, 2024.
Employees were directed to vacate the building as well as workers of the Museum of the Philippine Maritime History.
The place was cordoned off immediately as authorities conducted paneling or the searching and clearing of the edifice of any possible explosive devices.
BoC employees and museum workers were allowed to go back to their respective post at around 11 a.m. as soon as the authorities ensured that the edifice is safe from any security threat.
