A 36-year-old motorcycle rider died, and his female passenger was injured after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car at a curved section of the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Tuaca, Basud, Camarines Norte.
Based on police investigation, the motorcycle was traveling along the national highway from the direction of Basud town proper.
Upon reaching the accident site, a car veered into their lane, causing the collision.
The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the rider's immediate death. The woman riding in pillion sustained injuries and is now receiving medical treatment.
The driver of the car is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injuries, and damage to property.
