The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced of a scheduled power interruption in parts of Iloilo and Capiz Provinces on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Power outage is set from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Affected would be the areas of ILECO 3 (Iloilo Electric Cooperative 3) such as Ajuy, Sara, Balasan and Estancia Substations, and CAPELCO (Capiz Electric Cooperative) such as Timpas TR2 and President Roxas Substations.
The scheduled power interruption is due to load transfer of ILECO 3 from Concepcion to Panit-an Substation and vice versa in order to minimize outage during preventive maintenance activities at NGCP's Concepcion Substation.
Specific affected areas are determined by the electric cooperatives, NGCP said.
NGCP added that it will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled.
