One of the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has captured a video showing police allegedly sneaking sand, gravel, and cement into the KOJC compound on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
Sand and stones were also seen on the road outside the emerald gate of the compound.
Police also brought another batch of equipment into the compound on the 12th day of the serving of arrest warrant against KOJC leader, Pastor Quiboloy.
Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) Spokesperson, Major Catherine Dela Rey, said all equipment brought inside the KOJC are needed for the ongoing operation.
“Part yan ng operation and tactical movement we don't need to explain all of it sa inyo. Rest assured ginagawa naman natin in relation doon sa paghahanap natin kay Quiboloy,” Dela Rey said.
However, KOJC’s legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, questioned the timing of sneaking in sand, gravel, and cement as it happened after information came out that the Senate is set to conduct ocular inspection at the compound on Friday, September 6, 2024.
PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, said earlier that the operation at the compound will continue.
They allegedly discovered a room and found belongings of a man that reportedly fit Quiboloy’s build. They also found several rooms with minors, which are connected to a room believed to be that of Quiboloy.
However, Torreon said the minors inside the compound are children of some of KOJC members while others are being adopted by the Children’s Joy Foundation that aims to provide shelter to abandoned children.
“That is the problem that the police is now engaged in a fishing expedition to just justify their illegal stay here and please note that we even have Childrens Joy Foundation. One of the jobs of the foundation is to help children who are orphans and take care of them to give them good up bringing,” Torreon said.
