Motorists passing through Barangay Pancian in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte are advised to be cautious due to the risk of landslides, while coastal communities in Pasuquin remain on alert for potential storm surges.

The Pagudpud Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) has coordinated with contractors to ensure the road is cleared quickly if a landslide occurs.

"May mga tumutulong na contractor doon para halimbawa man na magkaroon ng landslide, mabilis lang na ma-clear ang lugar,” Hendrick Pedronan, a DRRMO officer in Pagudpud, said.

Although #EntengPH has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), residents of the coastal Barangay Caruan in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, remain fearful of storm surges.

The strong waves have already washed logs and debris onto the shore.

"Mahirap dahil sa paglakas ng alon, masisira ang mga bahay namin dito," Aurora Rabina, a resident, said.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) is monitoring four barangays closely in Pasuquin - Caruan, Estancia, Davila, and Dilavo - where houses are only a few meters away from the shoreline.

In addition, around 800 fishermen in the town have been unable to go out to sea for over a week due to the bad weather.

In Badoc, Ilocos Norte, the storm has flattened several rice crops.

"Ganyan na ang nangyari, wala na kaming maaani nyan, gastos talaga," Nelson Juan, a farmer, said.

In Ilocos Sur, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) remains on high alert in the towns of Suyo and Cervantes due to the threat of landslides.

Fishing activities are still prohibited because of the gale warning, and residents in coastal barangays have been advised to stay alert for possible storm surges.
