Two children were shot dead by their own father in the Municipality of Bacong, Province of Negros Oriental at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The victims were ages three years old and five years old.

The suspect shot himself after committing the crime.

The incident happened in Purok San Roque, Barangay Buntis in Bacong.

An investigation done by the Bacong Police Station revealed that the suspect first shot his wife during a heated argument, but the wife was able to run away.

The suspect directed his rage instead at the children before killing himself.

It was also learned from the authorities that the 30-year-old suspect worked as a security guard.
