Three vehicles figured in a collision on the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Balete, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya after a truck reportedly lost its brakes.
According to the police, a wing van truck was descending a steep section of the highway when its brakes failed.
The driver attempted to steer into a sandy area to stop the truck, but the vehicle tipped over and crushed an oncoming pickup.
A second truck was also caught in the accident.
The drivers and crew members of the vehicles sustained minor injuries, including cuts and bruises.
Authorities cleared the overturned truck from the road after several hours.
