A graduate from the University of San Carlos (USC) in Cebu City ranked Number 1 in the December 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Jianne Ilysse Dy Yu topped the licensure exam with a rating of 89.67 percent.
Two of Yu's fellow graduates made it to eighth and tenth spots. Kristina Noelle Odal Vistal, on Number 8, scored 88 percent; while Jeliel Miguel Bolido, on Number 10, scored 87.67 percent.

Meanwhile, Edward Joseph Cananua Labid, a graduate from the University of the Philippines Visayas-Tacloban City (Leyte), also made it to the tenth spot.
“BS Accountancy graduate Edward Joseph C. Labid placed 10th in the December 2024 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam. A total of 21 UP Tacloban graduates passed the licensure exam with an 86.96% passing rate among first-time takers. Congratulations to the passers, the BS Accountancy faculty, and the UP Tacloban community,” UP Tacloban’s post on December 17, 2024 reads.
At least 3,058 passed the said licensure exam, according to the Professional Regulation Commission.
