A 35-year-old man survived an attempt on his life in the second shooting incident, so far, in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental in January 2025.
The victim sustained an injury and was brought to the hospital for treatment. He is safe, as of this writing.
Police said a group of men surrounded the victim’s house prior to the incident.
When the victim and his friends checked who those men were, the suspects suddenly fired shots and escaped.
Authorities said the motive may have something to do with the possible conflict between the two groups.
“Aduna pa kitay ginakuha nga mga statement ilabi na coming from the victim ug sa mga kalia nila,” Navarro added.
This was the second shooting incident in the town this month and PRO-10 ordered the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station to solve the cases.
On January 18, a man was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Barangay Sta. Cruz.
We do not want nga lahi nga mga indibidwal ang atong mapasakahan og kaso,” Navarro said.
