Three men were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Sultan Kudarat and Marawi City.

Two of the suspects were government employees.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-SOCCSKSARGEN (PDEA-12) arrested an employee of the local government unit of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat in a buy-bust operation.

The 37-year-old suspect worked as a utility worker under a job order status.

Seized from his possession were sachets of suspected shabu worth around P34,000.

“He was a surfacing drug personality last 2023 but was not able to finish his rehabilitation program,” PDEA-12 said.

PDEA-12 added that the suspect allegedly supplied illegal drugs to selected areas in Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato.

Meanwhile, an employee of the provincial government and his companion were arrested in Marawi City on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

PDEA-BARMM agents seized from the suspects five sachets of suspected shabu worth around P3.4 million.

The three suspects are now detained and are facing charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (Ra 9165).
