Authorities have opened an investigation into the butchering of cows allegedly by robbers in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
Police said the suspects butchered the cows tethered by the owners and carted away the body parts.
The suspects reportedly left the cows’ stomach and head.
According to the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station, at least four similar incidents have been recorded, as of this writing.
Because of this, police intensified the deployment of Barangay Peace Action Team (BPAT) in every barangay.
Operatives are also pursuing the suspects.
"Kato siya naa natay persons of interest... ang uban, ato pa gyud i-develop kung kinsa atong makuha ana,” Manolo Fortich MPS Chief, Lt. Col. Evary Bacunawa, said.
