The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CARAGA (PDEA-13) seized suspected shabu worth around P108 million in a buy-bust operation in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur on Monday, January 27, 2025.
PDEA-13 said up to 13 packs of suspected shabu concealed in several packages weighing around 16 kilos were confiscated during the operation.
PDEA-13 agents and police operatives also recovered five digital weighing scales, a glass pipe, assorted packaging materials, and communication devices.
The anti-narcotics agency said it was one of the largest volumes of suspected shabu seized in Caraga region’s history.
“This operation underscores the importance of multi-agency collaboration and community involvement in achieving impactful results in the campaign against illegal drugs. Our combined efforts reflect our shared commitment to protecting the community and ensuring a safer future for all," PDEA-13 Director, Levi Ortiz, said.
The suspects arrested during the operation are facing charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
