At least 76 police officers in Cagayan Valley have been dismissed from service between 2022 and 2024 due to various administrative complaints.
Out of 323 cases filed in the region, at least 288 have been resolved.
Meanwhile, at least 200 cops were meted with suspension, reprimand, or other penalties.
Most cases involved illegal drug-related offenses or absence without official leave (AWOL).
Meanwhile, minor violations, such as improper use of uniform and failure to submit reports on time, resulted in fines or disciplinary action.
Due to the rising number of administrative cases in the past three years, authorities plan to launch an information and education campaign across all police units in the region in 2025.
