The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) initiated a peace covenant signing for the May 2025 midterm elections.

Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, led the peace covenant signing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Santa Barbara, Iloilo.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other government agencies such as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Department of Education (DepEd), and a few political aspirants in the Province of Iloilo joined the peace covenant signing.

It is the primary objective of the peace covenant signing to ensure an honest, transparent, fair, peaceful and orderly elections on May 12, 2025.

COMELEC has high hopes that the May 2025 midterm elections in the Province of Iloilo would be safe from money politics, intimidation, and deception.
