A man was killed after getting run over by a trailer truck on the highway in Barangay Old Cabalan, Olongapo City.
A closed circuit television (CCTV) footage was recovered by the Olongapo City Traffic Management and Public Safety Office, along with the Philippine National Police (PNP) - Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU).
The footage shows the truck crossing into the motorcycle lane, which led to the incident.
“So, natumba na siya. So, dun na siya nasagasaan,” PLTCOL. Alipio Villavicencio, Jr., Chief of the Traffic Investigation Unit of Olongapo City Police Station, said.
Instead of stopping, the truck driver continued driving after hitting the victim.
Investigation into the incident in ongoing to identify the driver and the truck owner.
