The chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Pikit, Cotabato was shot dead in Barangay Inug-ug morning on Friday, February 7, 2025.
The victim identified as Johnson Edil also served as political chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front-Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (MILF-BIAF).
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was on board his vehicle when the gunman approached and shot him.
The victim did not reach the hospital alive.
Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the suspect and determine the motive.
