Some supporters of Vice President Sara Duterte have gathered at the Freedom Park in Davao City to express their opposition on the impeachment against Duterte.
Those who joined the indignation rally were from Davao region and Cotabato City.
The group believes that the reasons cited in the articles of impeachment are baseless.
The group added that its members will not vote for the congressmen and congresswomen who signed the impeachment complaint.
They are reportedly ready to hold a ‘people power’ rally if the courts decide that the alleged anomalous 2025 budget is unconstitutional.
“Mag people’s power ang tao kung yung sabi ni BBM yung desisyon ng Supreme Court na unconstitutional, doon mag people’s power ang tao,” Usman added.
In a report by GMA News Online, allies of former President Rodrigo Duterte and a non-government organization filed criminal and graft complaints Monday against Speaker Martin Romualdez and five others over alleged billions worth of insertions in the 2025 national budget.
The rally ended with a candle lighting.
