A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck San Policarpo town in the Province of Eastern Samar.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), in its Earthquake Information No. 1, the quake hit San Policarpo on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 4:08 p.m.
The earthquake was located 12.10°N, 125.56°E - 010 km S 33° E of San Policarpo with a depth of 28 kilometers.
The quake was tectonic in origin, PHIVOLCS indicated.
"No aftershocks, no damages expected," PHIVOLCS added.
