A magnitude 4.2 earthquake jolted the Municipality of Oras in the Province of Eastern Samar.
According to Earthquake Information Number 2 released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake hit Oras town at 4:08 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
The quake occurred at 12.07°N, 125.41°E - 009 km S 41° W of Oras, at a depth of 26 kilometers, and is tectonic in origin.
"No damages, no aftershocks expected," PHIVOLCS indicated.
