Authorities in Cagayan have seized timber that was cut illegally and abandoned in Barangay Minanga, Peñablanca.
The Cagayan Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force discovered 203.25 board feet of timber while conducting surveillance with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO).
Officials believe unidentified individuals stored the wood in the area before abandoning it.
The recovered timber has been turned over to the DENR-PENRO sub-office for proper disposal.
