A carnapping suspect was killed after he allegedly fought back against authorities in Davao City.

Police the suspect allegedly robbed a bao-bao tricycle at the parking area of a mall.

Operatives launched a hot pursuit operation and collared the suspect in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.

When the police transported the suspect back to Davao City, the suspect allegedly requested to pee upon reaching Barangay Binugao, Toril.

A policeman accompanied the suspect, but the latter allegedly snatched the policeman’s firearm and tried to fire shots.

The policeman’s colleague shot the suspect. The suspect did not reach the hospital alive.

Police said they have been monitoring the suspect’s group following the carnapping incidents in the previous months.

“Ang atong kapulisan pud, naa man tay gina-follow nga police operational procedure kung naa sa delikado ang kinabuhi sa kapulisan, alerto gyud ta nga panalipdan pud ang atoang kaugalingon,” Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Spokesperson, Captain Hazel Caballero Tuazon, said.
