A fire that broke out in Barangay Layac, Dinalupihan, Bataan left three homes damaged with losses estimated at P180,000.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Dinalupihan said the fire started at the back of a house where plastic waste was piled up.

Firefighters from Dinalupihan Fire Station, Hermosa Fire Station, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and local police worked together to put out the fire.

The fire reached second alarm and lasted one hour before being contained. No injuries were reported.

Fire investigators have yet to determine the exact cause of the blaze.

Thaddeus Tadeo, Dinalupihan Fire Station Marshal, said.

Families affected by the fire are staying temporarily at the barangay covered court, while others have sought refuge with relatives.
