A 54-year-old man in Barangay Sasa, Davao City died after he was hit by a concrete post that fell after getting rammed by a 10-wheeler truck.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said the truck allegedly lost its brakes and crashed into the post, causing the post to fall and hit the man who was standing nearby.
The truck driver was taken into police custody. He said he did not see the man.
Both parties are reportedly working toward a possible settlement.
“Kagabii, both parties mag-settle na lang ang family sa victim, nangayo sila’g danyos,” DCPO Spokesperson, Captain Hazel Caballero Tuazon, said.
