A barangay in Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental have experienced landslides twice following incessant rains since afternoon on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Landslides hit Saladoc, Barangay Kinanga, the road going to Jose Abad Santos town.
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), big rocks also fell and blocked the road evening on Thursday.
A portion of the road also gave in and some trees were toppled down.
No one was reported hurt.
Another landslide occurred early Friday, February 28.
Personnel of the Municipal Engineering Office and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) have started clearing operations.
The road became passable again by midday.
The town experienced light rains on Friday, but classes and work were not suspended.
