A 43-old woman and her 10-year-old son died after a van hit the habal-habal they were riding on the national highway in Barangay Tibungco, Davao City.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, police said the habal-habal was driven by a 40-year-old driver.
Investigation disclosed that the motorcycle allegedly stopped in the middle of the road as the driver prepared to make a left turn when it was hit by the van allegedly running at high speed.
The woman and her son were thrown off and pinned under the van.
The habal-habal driver is also in critical condition, as of this writing.
The van driver was taken into police custody and may face charges.
