The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has confirmed that one FA50 fighter jet and two crew members lost communication and went missing around midnight over Mactan, Cebu, according to a report of GMA Integrated News. 

In an update to the report on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, PAF disclosed it has detected personnel beacons of the two missing pilots of the FA50 fighter jet that went missing over Cebu.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing, as of this writing.

Meanwhile, DZBB Super Radyo reported that according to PAF Spokesperson Colonel Maria Consuelo Castillo the fighter jet was used in a tactical night operation on March 3, 2025.
