A 29-year-old man was killed while his two companions were injured after they were shot by gunmen on board a motorcycle in General Santos City.
Citing witness’ accounts, police said the victims were drinking outside their boarding house when armed men on board a motorcycle stopped at the gate of the compound where their boarding house is located.
It was the man who was riding in pillion who went inside the compound and shot the victims.
The 29-year-old man did not reach the hospital alive after sustaining gunshot wounds in the neck, chest, stomach, and back.
His companions, also his co-workers, identified as a 24-year-old man and a 34-year-old sales manager, were injured.
Investigators are eyeing personal grudge related to illegal drugs as motive.
“Yan po yung tinitingnan na motibo,” Police Station 2 Commander, Major Renato Dungca, said.
Authorities have identified the suspects who are being pursued, as of this writing.
“With regard sa suspek, hindi pa natin mapangalanan kasi in the meantime hinahanap pa natin. Ni-lolocate na natin pero identified na po natin as well as yung kasama niya,” Dungca added.
