A traffic enforcer and a tricycle driver figured in a fistfight over an alleged traffic violation in Davao City.

The incident was caught on video and went viral online.

In the video, the two are seen engaging in a heated argument, which resulted in a fistfight.

The two only stopped fighting when a man stepped in to pacify them.

According to some witnesses, the tricycle driver allegedly got furious when the traffic enforcer called his attention for allegedly unloading a passenger in the middle of the road, which disrupted traffic.

It was the driver who reportedly challenged the traffic enforcer to a fistfight but it was the latter who reportedly threw the first punch.

“Nanganbyo pa man, wala kita ang driver nga gipa-go na sa TMC (CTTMO) ba unya nasuko, nag-init pud ang driver kay mura’g pinasingka pagkatawag ba kay pag-go niya, na-traffic naman… naog ang driver sa tricycle, nanghagit og sumbagay… ‘padaplin ta kay sumbagay ta’… init pud ang enforcer siguro, nanguna og panumbag ang enforcer,” a witness said.

The viral video of the incident was brought to the attention of the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO).

“Ingon ana ang actuation sa atong enforcer so naa gyud reason pero wala nato na gi-tolerate nga manapat ta og driver,” CTTMO Head, retired Col. Dionisio Abude, said.

Abude already called the attention of the traffic enforcer involved and reminded all personnel to observe maximum tolerance.

“Dapat ang among kuan diri is tolerance gyud naa gyud tay maximum tolerance nga dili mosangko ingon ana kay nag implement raman ta og traffic violation ang ingon ana man gud nga situation ipatigbabaw nato ang kainit sa ulo nawala na ta sa focus sa atong trabaho,” Abude added.
