A 35-year-old painter died after he was electrocuted while working on a building under construction in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur morning on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Initial investigation disclosed that the man was painting the exterior wall of the building while standing on a wooden platform when he reportedly lost his balance and came into contact with a live wire.
The painter sustained severe burns and was already unconscious when authorities arrived.
He did not reach the hospital alive.
GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is trying to reach out to the family of the painter and the owner of the building for a statement, as of this writing.
