The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed that Cebu Pacific Air flight CEB588, which was en route from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to Manila, experienced a landing gear issue earlier on Saturday, March 8, 2025. 

According to a report of GMA Integrated News, the flight, which took off as scheduled, returned to MCIA at approximately 5:30 a.m. after encountering the technical problem.

All passengers and crew members on board the aircraft are safe, and no injuries were reported, CAAP said.
