A tricycle driver was stabbed in the chest by another tricycle driver after a road altercation in Barangay Poblacion Zone 2, Villasis, Pangasinan.

Authorities said the two got into a heated argument when one driver stopped in the middle of the road to take a phone call, blocking the narrow street.

The other driver, frustrated, kept honking his horn, leading to an exchange of words.

Both men were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The argument escalated when the suspect pulled out an ice pick and stabbed the victim.

Edgar Allan Requina, Chief of Police of Villasis, said.

Luckily, the victim only suffered a minor wound and was immediately taken to the hospital.

Both parties later realized they were distant relatives, leading the victim to drop the case against the suspect.

Neither the suspect nor the victim has released a statement about the incident.
