Authorities confiscated P3 million worth of fake cooking oil in a raid at a warehouse in Barangay Buenavista, Santiago City.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), discovered 173 gallons of recycled, unregistered, and unlabeled cooking oil being sold in the area.
Three individuals, including the warehouse owner, cashier, and delivery worker, were arrested during the operation.
The suspects are facing multiple charges. They are yet to release a statement.
Authorities have shut down the warehouse to prevent further distribution of the counterfeit product.
