Three people were injured when two dump trucks collided at an intersection in Barangay Dupac, Asingan, Pangasinan.

The incident was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV).

Authorities said one truck was traveling from San Manuel to Dupac, Asingan, while the other was headed from Macalong, Asingan, to Sta. Maria when the crash occurred.

The impact caused one truck to hit a post and overturn.

Both drivers and a truck assistant sustained injuries and were taken to Asingan Community Hospital.

One driver, Jonathan Novida, was confined later at R1MC in Dagupan City.

“'Yung mga driver po natin ay naitakbo agad sa Asingan Community Hospital ng ating mga nagrespondeng kapulisan... 'Yung driver ng vehicle 2 na si Jonathan Novida ay naka-confine sa R1MC sa Dagupan City,” PCPT. John Ishmart Jose, deputy chief of Asingan Police Station, said.

Authorities confirmed that the drivers were not under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

Both parties are reportedly in talks, as of this writing.

Police urged motorists to be extra cautious, especially during early morning hours.

“Sa mga nagmamaneho, magbaon po nang ibayong pag-iingat, lalong-lalo na sa mga oras ng madaling araw. Mag-ingat po tayo palagi,” Jose said.
