The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao has reactivated the Motorized Anti-Street Crime Operative (MASCO) by deploying police officers on motorcycles, also known as “Pulis de Motor,” to ensure prompt response to crimes and emergencies ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.

PRO-10 said these motorcycle-riding police officers will serve as first responders during crimes and emergencies on the streets.

The deployment is also part of the enhanced security measures being implemented in preparation for the upcoming elections.

“We reactivated this MASCO o Motorized Anti-Street Crime Operative o gintawag nato nga Pulis de Motor…arun maubsan ang mga street crime sa palibot more on prevention,” PRO-10 Spokesperson, Major Joann Navarro, said.

Members of the Pulis de Motor are expected to maintain 24-hour visibility around the city.

The public is urged to report to them suspicious activities or individuals so the officers can respond swiftly.

“Ang tanang provinces and cities dunay Pulis de Motor personnel and 126 ana ang number of motorcycles gamiton ug adunay 252 ka personnel kay ang mahitabo, usa ka driver ug usa ka backrider,” Navarro added.
