A 39-year-old habal-habal driver was stabbed to death at a remote area in Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro.
Police said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds.
His body was found 200 meters away from his motorcycle.
“Doon natin siya nakilala sa mga ID niya kasi nandoon pa rin sa crime scene so it’s a mere murder talaga yung ginawa kasi multiple stab wounds din kasi yung ginawa sa kanya as per SOCO,” Puerto Police Station Chief, Major Amanollah Bantuas Jr., said.
Residents said they did not hear any commotion before the incident. The area is also dark.
Police are eyeing work conflict as motive.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to identify the perpetrator.
Police also urged those who have knowledge about the incident to come forward and cooperate with authorities.
