Two women were shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Kapalawan town under the Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM).
The victims were farmers, 60 and 62 years old, respectively.
According to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), the victims were reportedly riding a tricycle when they were followed by the suspects.
They were then shot several times using a 9mm pistol.
Police recovered seven empty shells from the crime scene.
The tricycle and the driver were no longer in the area when authorities arrived.
Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive.
