After more than six years, authorities arrested the alleged mastermind in the killing of a businessman in Subic Bay Freeport.

The suspect, who was on Central Luzon’s most wanted list, was captured in Malaysia through joint efforts by Philippine and Malaysian police.

The fugitive had a P10 million bounty on his head for allegedly orchestrating the killing of the businessman, his own brother, in front of a hotel in November 2018.

Another accomplice was already arrested on March 22, 2025, in an operation conducted by Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) and PRO-10.

“Pagkatapos po ng mahigit anim na taon, ay finally nahuli na din po natin ang mastermind na kasalukuyang nasa Malaysia,” PBGen. Jean Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO-3, said.

“Nakipag-ugnayan po tayo sa Royal Malaysian Police nitong weekend at, sa tulong ng ating police attaché, na-zero in po natin kung saan siya nagtatago,” she added.

The Royal Malaysian Police now have custody of the suspect while authorities process his repatriation to the Philippines for trial.

Meanwhile, in Pampanga, police arrested another national most wanted fugitive for rape.

The suspect, a resident of Barangay Lourdes, Minalin, had a standing warrant with no bail recommended for assaulting his sister-in-law allegedly in January 2021.
