Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division issued Thunderstorm Advisory No. 6 (amended) at 12:28 p.m., Monday,  April 7, 2025 on moderate to heavy rainshowers over parts of the Visayas regions, and the Province of Palawan. 

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over #Biliran (Cabucgayan, Caibiran), #Samar (Daram, Talalora, Zumarraga, SantaMargarita, Gandara, Pinabacdao, Calbiga), #NegrosOriental (Basay, CityOfBayawan), #Leyte (TaclobanCity, SanMiguel, Alangalang, SantaFe, Palo, Barugo, Tunga, Hilongos, Inopacan, Hindang, CityOfBaybay, Mahaplag), #SouthernLeyte (Sogod, Bontoc), #Antique (Barbaza, Tibiao), and #Palawan (Brooke'sPoint) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

The above conditions are being experienced in #Samar (SantaRita, Villareal, Basey, Marabut, CalbayogCity), #Leyte (Babatngon), #EasternSamar (Lawaan), #NegrosOriental (SantaCatalina), #Antique (Culasi), #Aklan (Madalag, Libacao), #Palawan (PuertoPrincesaCity, SofronioEspanola, Rizal, and Aborlan) which may persist within one (1) to two (2) hours and may affect nearby areas.

"All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates," the PAGASA advisory further reads.
