A case of jealousy ended in violence when a two-year-old boy was killed by his mother’s live-in partner in Lubao, Pampanga.

The suspect, 28 years old, allegedly stabbed the child after attacking his 23-year-old partner during a heated argument.

The suspect was drunk reportedly during the incident.

During the confrontation, he pulled out a knife and attempted to stab her. As she tried to block the attack, the blade struck her arm and hit the child accidentally in the stomach.

The child was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities arrested the suspect the following day.

The suspect now faces charges of homicide, attempted homicide, and violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Authorities also found two bombs in the suspect’s bag, leading to additional charges of illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.

The suspect’s uncle also faces obstruction of justice charges for allegedly trying to hide him from police.

The child's mother and other involved parties have not issued any statements.
