Residents of Dagupan City can expect hot weather during the Holy Week break.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the city may have a temperature of up to 44 or 46 degrees celsius during the Holy Week.

Roberto Garin, a resident, said he will combat the heat by drinking as much water as possible and by staying away from the sun.

“Uminom ng maraming tubig. Manatili sa lilim. Mahangin, presko, ganda ng hangin,” he said.

Another resident, Richel Quinagon, takes a bath three times a day.

“Naliligo, tatlong beses. Umaga, tanghali, at gabi,” she said.

While Dagupan will experience extreme heat, parts of extreme northern Luzon may experience cloudy skies and rains.

“Pag nandiyan ‘yung ulap, matatakpan yung rays. Bababa ‘yung heat index,” said Engr. Jose Estrada, Jr., Chief Meteorological Officer of the PAGASA Dagupan Station.

Rain was experienced in Burgos, Ilocos Norte for almost an hour on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Rain also poured in Pasuquin, Bangui, and Pagudpud to the relief of residents.
