More passengers going home to their provinces for the long weekend are expected on Maundy Thursday, April 17, 2025.
An emergency assistance desk is mounted by the Bureau of Fire Protection and other government agencies in a few terminals.
Security at the Iloilo International Airport is stringent. A help desk is also provided.
At Parola Wharf, the Philippine Coast Guard has also provided an assistance desk.
The voyage of fiber boats has been reported to be on “normal condition.”
Law enforcement agencies vowed they are prepared for the surge of passengers on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday for the “Pagtaltal sa Guimaras,” a street play on the passion and death of Jesus Christ.
Volume of passengers is expected to reach approximately 10,000 daily from Maundy Thursday to Resurrection Sunday.
Meanwhile, passengers were not that many yet on Holy Wednesday at the Bacolod South Terminal in Bacolod City.
The influx of passengers is expected on Maundy Thursday.
Stringent security measures are being imposed at the entrance of the terminal, especially in the inspection of baggage.
Regular bus trips are available until Good Friday, according to the management of the said bus terminal.
